Common Sense Approach to Government

As a trained prosecutor and forensic accountant, Bill strives to not pre-judge a situation but rather let the facts and the merits guide him through any heightened emotions and tensions to find the best solution. But governing and showing leadership is not just reacting to a set of facts, figures and lines in a budget. As an elected official, it is about being accountable, and Bill’s focus will always be on what is best for the City of Rye and its citizens.

Bill’s approach to government will focus on four principles:

  • Keep Rye Special—Preserving and sustaining our environment, the quality of life and the unique character of our community will be Bill’s first priority.

  • Bill will always look out for the taxpayer and challenge city government to deliver more value for the taxpayer dollar.

  • Bill pledges to work with all of the members of the City Council in finding common ground to Rye’s challenges. Partisan politics and special interests will have no place in his approach to governing.

  • Bill will always listen first and talk second. Courtesy and respect for all and their experiences and point of view will be Bill’s hallmark.

A vote for Bill is a vote for competent and collaborative city government, focused on what’s best for the citizens of Rye, not special interests.  Bill will work to keep your taxes down, and keep partisan politics, which has so soured our national political discourse, out of Rye.  Let’s keep Rye a great place to live!
